About Author

Sudha Murty was born and brought up in North Karnataka. She did her M.Tech in Computer Science and is the founder of Infosys Foundation and currently the Chairperson of the Murty Trust. A prolific writer in English and Kannada, she has written more than 42 books across genres—from children's books to short stories, novels, technical books, and travelogues. Her books have been translated into all the major Indian languages. She has 11 honorary doctorates and is the recipient of many prestigious awards including the Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri from the Government of India in 2023 and 2006 respectively; Sahitya Akademi Award in 2023; the R.K. Narayan Award for Literature in 2006
