I reported and edited for four Northern California newspapers before founding and running a community magazine for 10 years. Now my interests include gardening, playing with my grandchildren, and dreaming up new writing projects with artist Hallie Bateman. New from Bloomsbury is our second book, "What to Do When You Get Dumped." The book emerged as a pep talk to myself after an epic dumping, and became a gentle guide to creating my own new life.
